Outside Providence: So Much For a Comedy!
Watched Outside Providence on Sunday 12/28/2008
Although the bong-tree was hilarious, there are some real dark elements to the film. The boy's mom perished while he was young and he never really came to terms with it.
Another dark part: the boy's mom shot herself.
Another dark part: "Your mother made me nuts. I couldn't live with her." and "Life isn't a fucking fairy-tale" and "I was with your mother for 7 years and we only went out 1 time."
In addition, there were some other lines with dark tones: "Are you putting your wood to her?" and "Makin' sex is like Chinese dinner, it ain't over until you both get your cookies."
Another awful part: "I was caught red-handed in the boys dormitory with booze and pot. It's over."
and "Last night there was a car accident and your friend Drugs Delaney...."
When Drugs died, his friends said: "Man, that f'n guy could party." and "when we took 1, he took 2."
"I wonder if there is a heaven and a hell. I couldn't see Drugs with all those saints."
and "What's the point-your life it's gonna suck anyway."
Lastly, one comment was really tasteless towards God. God should be respected. He is our Creator.

New Years Resolution: No Documentaries Or Overly Intellectual Films
My New Year's Resolution: No watching any serious films-be they documentaries or overly intellectual films(i.e. no Woody Allen films this year)
